Senior Data Analyst – Fleet Electrification Programme

Dublin Bus is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to play a key role in its Fleet Electrification Programme — using data, insight and modelling to help shape the future of public transport.
This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile transformation programme, turning complex operational data into clear insights that support investment, planning and data-driven decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
- Analyse vehicle, charger, telematics, operational and scheduling data to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
- Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, reports and data visualisations for programme and business leadership.
- Build scenario, capacity and financial models to test assumptions and assess potential outcomes.
- Map and manage current and future data flows, databases and data interfaces.
- Provide analytical insights to support business cases, project benefits and operational improvements.
- Work closely with programme teams, SMEs, project managers and external stakeholders to understand requirements and translate data into actionable insight.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What we’re looking for:
- NFQ Level 8 qualification in a quantitative discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior data analyst role, including KPI development and complex data analysis.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Power BI and DAX; Tableau/QlikView experience is also valuable.
- Knowledge of data warehouses, ETL, data governance and data quality.
- Experience with statistical analysis, scenario modelling and data visualisation.
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and macros.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in transport, logistics or operational environments would be an advantage.
