Inspector II – Radiation Protection Regulation
About the Role
Are you ready to make a real impact in environmental and public health protection? The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is recruiting Inspector II (Level 4) roles in Radiation Protection Regulation, with positions available in Dublin or Cork.
This is your chance to work with Ireland’s leading environmental authority—protecting people and the planet by ensuring the safe use of ionising radiation across medical, industrial, educational, and research sectors. You’ll join a team of expert inspectors shaping national policy and maintaining high safety standards.
🔍 What You'll Do:
- Inspect and evaluate facilities using ionising radiation
- Investigate incidents and enforce radiation safety laws
- Work with national and international regulatory partners
- Support best practices through training, guidance, and stakeholder engagement
- Gain exposure to ISO-accredited quality systems and contribute to a culture of safety

💼 What You’ll Need:
- A Level 8 degree in Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in radiation protection, nuclear safety, or regulatory enforcement
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A full EU driving license
