Dublin Bus

The Challenge

Like many large infrastructure and public service organisations, Dublin Bus faces increasing competition for talent in a rapidly evolving labour market. Alongside the challenge of attracting highly skilled professionals, the organisation is also planning for workforce succession as a significant proportion of experienced employees approach retirement.

Enterprise Ireland recruits for a wide range of specialist and strategic positions, many of which require a unique combination of technical expertise, commercial awareness, stakeholder management capability, and public sector values.

Particularly challenging were recruitment campaigns within the Research and Innovation Division, where candidates required deep scientific knowledge alongside commercialisation and technology transfer expertise. These roles demanded access to niche talent pools across academia, research institutions, innovation centres, and industry.

In parallel, Enterprise Ireland sought to modernise and strengthen its recruitment processes, ensuring greater consistency, transparency, and alignment with organisational competencies and strategic objectives.

To support these objectives, Dublin Bus required a recruitment partner capable of accessing both active and passive talent pools while strengthening employer visibility among the next generation of professionals.
