Life at IDA Ireland
Making a Difference
Everything we do is driven by the desire to bring jobs to Ireland, helping economic and social development.
By joining IDA Ireland, you’ll be playing a direct role in helping to attract some of the world’s biggest names in leading industry sectors to invest in Ireland, creating jobs which in turn drives economic and social benefit throughout the country.
The impact of FDI spreads far beyond just direct jobs created in the companies themselves. Inward investment into Ireland builds businesses that spend in the local economy. FDI is proven to increase employment in many of the businesses that support multinationals, and it helps regional towns and cities to grow and thrive.
Wellbeing
To support everyone on our team, we use a framework that focuses on wellbeing from six different perspectives: organisational, mental, financial, physical, social and life stage. All our people strategies and procedures have wellbeing integrated into them, and we have supports available depending on your needs and circumstances.
Our wellbeing strategy first looks to reduce job stressors, preventing situations from escalating. Then we help you to adapt by providing tools and resources for coping. We also offer a reactive response to treat situations like ill health.
We’re accredited to the KeepWell Mark, which is the recognised business standard for health, safety and wellbeing in Ireland.
Diversity and Inclusion
Celebrating our diverse backgrounds and lived experiences is what makes IDA Ireland a phenomenal place to work. We’re committed to promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the workplace, creating an inclusive environment for clients and team members globally.
Our six EDI pillars are: disability, gender, LGBTQ+, multicultural, neurodiversity, and social mobility. Our EDI Team’s six Pillar Leads and EDI Lead represent a mix of age, gender, seniority, location, and background. Volunteers help with events, information sessions, policy reviews and other activities.
Our motto is “nothing about us without us” and we encourage everyone to take part in our efforts. Through surveys, focus groups, training and events, our EDI Action Plan keeps evolving.
We’re the first public sector organisation to receive the Gold accreditation from the Irish Centre for Diversity (ICD), and in 2023, we were named Public Sector Organisation of the Year at the inaugural National Diversity and Inclusion Awards.
